Lessons Learned
- even very like-minded people have a lot of disagreement
- face-to-face conversation to recruit
- flexibility in format - tools and structure are there to support, not dictate conversation
- progressive doesn't mean the same thing to two people
- this was supposed to be reflections on the elections, but we blew right by that
- web site presence/tools is an obstacle to entry (edit-to-register, appearance, notifications)
- it will take slogging, personal invitations
- School of Informatics isn't the best place for a meeting
- Bus schedule for Rural Transit is not well known, but required to get to Ivy Tech
- Friday during the day makes it difficult for most people to participate
- There is no "good" day to have a conference - every day is contended in Bloomington
- No attendance from Ivy Tech, little from IU campus
- Facility will have identity that might encourage/discourage ... many locations is important to enhancing openness
