• Press release kits - professional style, writers are pressed for time and will use good ones, include other materials, drop off on foot ("hoof it") ... make reporters' jobs easier, not harder ... they need material, not paid very well

get Amy (Geoff's wife) to do a community column on it, in H-T ... supposed to be about local politics

• colleagues -- "annoying" types, who will be persistent

• personal 1:1 contact - Democrats do it better than it

• Radio/TV - WFHB covered the whole school board forums

• mailers work, but are often discarded ... Women's Democratic Caucus stood out

slate of candidates, joint press releases (coalition, found mention for individual messages)
